Question : Google changed the search engine market in the '90s by evaluating a website's backlinksinstead of just the content, like others did. Updates like Panda and Penguin show a shift in importance towards content. Will backlinks lose their importance? - Leah, New York. Courtesy : Google
Content is still a King in Google Search Rankings
From the above video published on 5th May 2014 by +Matt Cutts it clearly shows still Google gives importance to backlinks to lesser extent when content is unique one, quality one and especially content published by an expert in the particular field. When it comes to quality of the content, Google says even though there is no sufficient backlinks to support that content, still that content to be shown in Google search index. Wow this is awesome. Because people like +Harleena Singh not have sufficient knowledge in terms of SEO. But she is real master and expert in her own field that is "Life Style" and solving "Human Problems" and now her blogs also give Blogging Solutions to webmasters. So keep that in mind. Google moves towards this step is wonderful to watch.
